Our Leadership
Brian Allen
Elder of Preaching
My name is Brian Allen and I’m the lead pastor/elder of Providence Baptist Church in Beaumont, TX. I’m married to an amazing lady named Kendall Allen who loves God, loves people, and loves me and our four children (Adley, Micah, Joanna, and Lydia). I grew up in Jasper, TX and later graduated from Texas A&M where I met Kendall (who’s also an Aggie). I moved to the Beaumont area after graduation and worked for ExxonMobil for 10 years and now work for Indorama (previously Huntsman) in Port Neches, TX. I believe God gave me faith and saved my soul when I was six years old through the discipleship of my parents, grandparents, and extended family. I have taught Bible studies and led small groups since college. But in 2016, God gave Kendall and I a son with a severe heart defect. He lived 77 days in the CVICU at Texas Children’s Hospital. Through his short life God revealed so much about Himself to us and worked powerfully through us. He sustained our faith through our deepest sufferings. And out of the ashes of losing a son, He placed a calling on my life to help people know this God through devoting my life to implanting the truths of His word deep into people’s hearts. Along with God’s work through my son, in 2015 God providentially placed me in an office right next to Ryan Thompson who was a bi-vocational pastor planting Cornerstone Church in Nederland, TX. God used Ryan to disciple me and show me the beauty (and suffering) of church planting. He used Ryan to give me a category I never had in my mind before: Pastoring a church bi-vocationally, while sharing that shepherding responsibility with other elders. Since early 2018 we’ve been praying about and moving toward planting a church in the Beaumont area. God has brought together an amazing core team and has provided a godly co-elder in Erik Morgan. We are continuing to train and equip our team to plant Providence Baptist Church in Beaumont, TX, in the fall of 2020 if the Lord wills. I praise God for the privilege and responsibility of leading a people toward infinite joy forever in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!

Cody Perkins
Elder
My name is Cody Perkins and I am honored to serve as one of the elders here at Providence Baptist Church in Beaumont, TX. I have been married to my lovely wife, Lauren since 2016, and we have one amazing daughter, Nora Mae. I am a graduate of Lamar University and briefly attended the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary prior to dropping out to attend the police academy. Since 2017 I have served as a police officer and detective where I work crimes against children/person’s crimes. I enjoy outdoor activities with my family like hiking, hunting, and exploring God’s creation. Theologically, I adhere to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith. As I have grown spiritually and theologically, I have been influenced by: Voddie Baucham, R.C. Sproul/Ligonier Ministries, Thomas Ascol/Founder’s Ministries, and Timothy Easley/Church History and Theology. I am grateful to be a part of PBC and love their devotion to studying the Word of God in context, and their devotion to bringing that good news to the community through evangelizing verbally and acting as the church should to care for its community. My hope for you is that as you attend PBC with us you grow in your love and knowledge of Christ and be sanctified to His image. We hope and pray you are able to then go out into your community and spread the good news of Jesus Christ for God’s glory.
